In the wonderful setting of the hills of Barolo stands Casa di Langa, a 5-star hotel with a sustainable soul. From a project by GaS Studio in collaboration with Parisotto + Formenton studio and carried out by Malabaila & Arduino, Hi Contract has embraced the green inspiration of the 42 hectares of the property. The structure is made with local materials and inspired by traditional architecture, in full respect of the environment.
The hotel’s rooms have been designed to reflect the hotel’s natural aesthetics with the use of oak, terracotta, stone, leather and glass. Hi Contract has created the furniture of the rooms using certified FSC® oak wood, water painted by a company with zero emissions, to ensure a reduced environmental impact. A special system of hidden tracks in the rooms allows the two single beds to be transformed with a simple gesture into a king-size bed. The attention to security is always at the first place, even in the realisation of the armored doors of the rooms, equipped with magnetic closure.
For the recepiton area and the lobby, the choice fell on the thermo-fired solid oak for the table and bench, combined with Canaletto walnut sideboards, doors, windows and bookcases.
