The renovation project of the Hotel Europa Palace in Sanremo, designed by Studio q-bic in Florence, has breathed new life into this exclusive five-star hotel, seamlessly combining elegance, design, and sustainability.
Hi Contract crafted the furnishings for the 70 rooms, including 12 suites, designed to ensure maximum comfort and functionality. Overlooking either the sea or the casino, the rooms feature channel-set oak headboards, open wardrobes with metal support structures, wooden drawer modules, and tubular clothes rails. The full-height TV panel in raw steel sheet adds a distinctive touch, blending seamlessly with the wall clad in textured-effect boiserie. The decor is completed with exclusive fabrics, including lightweight and blackout curtains for the rooms and technical roller blinds for the bathroom windows, ensuring maximum privacy. The entrance doors, equipped with a 39 dB soundproofing system, are framed by elegant boiserie and a decorative metal handle.
The hotel’s common areas have been designed to welcome guests into an elegant and refined atmosphere. The entrance features a double-sided glass shelving unit with wooden shelves and a base clad in raw steel sheet, enriched by a decorative planter that brings a fresh touch to the space. The reception area stands out with its oak-veneered paneling, while the Grigio Alpi stone reception desk is distinguished by its refined oak decorative ledge. Behind it, a curved wall in clouded-effect metal adds depth and character to the space. The lounge restrooms reflect the same meticulous attention to materials, featuring oak-veneered vanity units with Cementum stone countertops and integrated basins, completed by a striking composition of wall-mounted mirrors.
In the restaurant, steel-framed portals accentuate elegant wine display shelves. The back wall houses a buffet cabinet with retractable doors, while the restaurant counter, with a Laminam ledge and decorative metal canopy, serves as a refined focal point of the space. The entrance is enhanced by a Grigio Alpi stone welcome desk, while tables with brass-effect painted metal frames and Laminam tops are paired with a long wall bench and motorized technical roller blinds.
The SPA area has been designed to offer a relaxing and immersive ambiance, featuring a welcome desk clad in travertine stone, complemented by a matching back unit and tea station counter. Sliding shade panels, perforated in a corten steel-effect finish, filter light to create dynamic chiaroscuro effects. The gym area, with its mirrored panels and corten steel-effect metal accents, completes the wellness space, adding a touch of modernity and energy.
With this refined transformation, the Europa Palace in Sanremo reaffirms itself as a true icon of luxury hospitality. The perfect balance of premium materials, bespoke furnishings, and exquisite details offers guests an exclusive experience where comfort and elegance merge into a uniquely sophisticated atmosphere.
